Provan Cup - CDAFL - Youth proves too strong

Campbeltown United turned out worth winners of the Campbeltown and District Amateur Football Provan Cup when they beat league winners Whisky Macs at Kinloch Park this afternoon.

The fitness of the young side proved too much for the old heads of Whiksy Macs as 2 goals from Christopher Thomson and one each from David Johnson and Fraser Gillespie to only one reply from Robert Graham saw the Cup change hands this year in the final game of the seasons.

Scottish Amateur Football League Update

Campbeltown Pupils won 4-2 away to Kilbowie Union in the SAFL Premier Div One to leap frog back to the top of the league.  All four goals were scored by Gary Grumoli who is in fine form this year for the local side.  You can see the league table by clicking here

Campbeltown Boys went down 2-1 at home yesterday to Carlton in the SAFL Premier Div Two fixture.  The Boys led the first half 1-0 thanks to a great goal by young Lyle Gillespie after the Boys enjoyed much of the possession in the first half.  However, in the second half with the wind behind Carlton two quick goals were enough to secure three points from the men from Paisley.
